I need with some Group photos of Scamps at Stoneleigh, Newark or Stourport......can anyone send me some ?

Small files to start with please then I may need the large files sending.

Dave the facts:

The SOC was formed 1980 by Fred Cake.

Currently membership stands at 73.

Newark is the favourite I think.

Youngest member - is that with or without driving license?

Longest serving member we think it is Fred Howard and he maybe the oldest but I am sure someone will know?

Embarrassing moments - several, I drove over my own leg, Sarah Irish got a prize for making the most noise in a tent, Steve Taylor broke his ankle carrying his home made beer down the hill at Telford, James is the only person I know that has rolled a Scamp while in reverse, the list is endless!!!!!

Activities: you have been to few do's so you should know what they are?

Meetings: The usual shows - but we need members to organise more in their own areas!!!!

Joining fee: Don't you remember what you paid?

Don't forget I have sent off stuff to Ian Stent of Complete Kitcar.

Article went off to MiniMag last Monday (22nd) to meet their deadline.
Thanks for the contributions and photos.

They seemed happy and very positive.

It will be interesting to see if they use what we've sent and/or whether they put their "view" on it.

I know that there has been over 3,000 Scamps built, and I know it up to 1997 when I built my first Scamp, which Andrew MacLean of the Scamp motor company, said it was the last kit to be made, but has done a few replacement chassis, since then.

Received complimentary copy of Mini Mag today.

We have a full page article with a reasonable write up based on the majority of our text.

Pictures of the Scamps descending from the Stourport trig point, together with a few smaller pictures.

Scamps shown: Colin's,Rick's,Rob K's,Jono's:D,Nic's Daisy,Lin & Tony's, Chris Westgate's, Steve Edmonds Built Mk3......

I think it's quite impressive........

For those using the W H Smith Library its the February 2009 issue of Mini Magazine page 12........

I've scanned the article and put it in the "new" members sections.

I only created this section with members only access because I didn't feel it was fair on the magazine if we made current copy available to the the world !

Please support Mini Mag and buy the magazine - I received a complimentary copy but I've still bought another.

I think the've done us proud !

Just had a look at the mini mag article on the forum. Well done to Dave! The article shows us for what we are - whatever that may be!!! Maybe we will get a few more joining our ranks - after all, there must be more crazy people out there!
It really did seem to sum up the club - laid back, fun loving, supportive and great fun to be a part of. - Well, I speak as find.
