Front doors

Hi all , has anybody got some pics of how the front doors are made if not perhaps some plans . when I look at the pics of ones already made some are really good while others seem , how do I put it. Not so good. Please help. Wal

The standard MK3 doors were hung from the screen frame which basically makes them self closing. But I believe all doors were matched to each individual chassis so you can't just buy a pair of second hand doors and get them to fit without a little modification.

But some people have added extra steel to the chassis to allow the door hinges to be vertical. You have bought yourself the ultimate big boys Meccano set and everything you do to the car is only limited by your imagination.

Do you have a welder or know anyone with one? As for steel you may be lucky and find some at the roadside. Or a cheap fix cut out some ply to shape get perspex/other material from supplies bond on ply. Would advise lift off hinges.
