I think this is a back-door attempt to close this track for good. It is in a bad state, as it appears it has never been repaired. If they are allowed to close this road without concrete proposals to repair it, then I don't think it will ever reopen. The Ramblers association are wanting to get vehicles banned from the route "and the noise polution they create is unacceptable".

I have never used it (have walked up it) but I do think that the right to use ByWays should be fought for and protected.
