Think James might remember this one from Newark show quite a few years ago when it was pink.

Re: Mark 1 For Sale
Yes i think i can remember, wasn't it your scamp Chaz? And you wanted to paint it but only had small amounts of red and white paint so you mixed the two colours so you had enough to do the whole car?
Oh, er, no. maybe that wasn't you.

Re: Mark 1 For Sale
What is it with yellow for a Scamp? not sure about the flared wheel arches and that sloping back, I'd have stuck a false Mk1 bonnet on the back together with another windscreen just to confuse people

An article I read, many years ago, on the psychology of car colours suggested that yellow is the preferred choice ofWhat is it with yellow for a Scamp?
- extreme extroverts and
- the safety conscious.
So why are there more yellow Scamps than yellow Volvos?

Re: Mark 1 For Sale
I doubt Reg's Monster will be staying yellow for another 11yrs. He's been saying it's too common for a few years now, but what to change it to? It's all been done before...
If I had my way, I'd wrap it! But it's not mine to wrap.
Elaine.

Popular Elaine not common, good old JCB yellow will take over the world, just wait and see. Just look at the fields of oil seed rape you see now and the ammount you see growing in the verges, next thing will be world domination by Yellow.I doubt Reg's Monster will be staying yellow for another 11yrs. Re: Mark 1 For Sale
It has resurfaced on Pistonheads - crazy price and being advertised as a Moke again. This guy is away with the fairies - people have been telling him it's a MK1 Scamp for over 10 years.

I went to have a look at the ad, and what did I find? A big box saying:
This advert has been withdrawn by PistonHeads

Well, well...
Surely this has nothing to do with the e-mail I thought I was sending to the vendor saying " Sorry to disappoint you but this is not a Moke - it is a Mark 1 Mini Scamp "
