Listing says its a Scamp but doesn't look like one to me at all, I've asked the seller what the V5 says for a manufacturer. Anyone recognise what it is? I like the rear a lot

Re: Any ideas what this is?
Thats some serious metalbashing, stealth mode.
It brings us back to the old subject "When is a Scamp not a Scamp"
You get the Kit, which is a plan and a pile of metal, and put it together the best you can.
Then years later some bright spark called Blackadder has a cunning plan or was it M Caine esq.
The use of the Mini windscreen is unusual and is normally seen on Cubs or Rangers (?)
The other odd thing is a 1300 automatic engine............no good for off roading
But at the low start price with no reserve its got to be worth a punt.

Re: Any ideas what this is?
As it'll come with a MOT and looks to be very nicely put together I'd say it was well worth a punt. Got someone coming to look at my Pug 306 tomorrow and if it goes I'll need something to drive

Re: Any ideas what this is?
The front looks quite similar to the only picture I can find of a Jimini 1. The seller has emailed me back to say that the V5 says 'Mini Scamp'

Andrew MacLean's MkIII demonstrator had an auto box. It was excellent off-road, because it had power at the wheels at all times...
Charlie, go and have a look at it if you like it.

I would do if it wasn't 250 miles away in Devon
I'll see how the auction goes. I've got a price in mind of what I would pay for it so we'll see what happens next Thursday.

Re: Any ideas what this is?
The same car was advertised for sale in Scampers in July 2003, and described there as a Mk1 based on a '65 Cooper, with photos showing it much the same as now but with rather tasty 10" alloys (which may or may not be the ones mentioned by the current seller). The e-Bay pix certainly show a rear subframe.
The front wings bear a passing resemblance to those on a Jimini - see picture here - but those distinctive wheel arches don't.

Only 2 months and it's had a new engine, new wheels and a vinyl wrap. Can't see the new owner making his money back on it. Glad I was outbid considering the engine apparently went pop after 30 miles

Think someone's going to learn the lesson about kit cars being worth less then the sum of their parts
