ARE THE BELGIANS BORING?FANCY FINDING OUT?

I made tentative enquires about a Scamp Holiday in Belgium.I have,I think,found a good campsite not far from Brugge.What I need to know is when there is a decent break in the kids school calender.My idea is to go on a Wednesday and come back on a Tuesday to get the cheaper crossings,and in late spring to get the cheaper campsite fees.Anyone interested?Let me know asap so that we can get the ferry bookings in early to get them as cheap as possible(there will some good deals on or around Christmas)

I need to know when the kids are on half term on or about May time,hopefully it won't interfere with Mikes do at the end of May.

In Derbyshire kids break up on Friday 28th May and return on June 7th. i think this includes the end of May bank holiday ie Mikes do.

Belgium is great, just beware of the beer!!

Brugge is very expensive and full of tourists. Don't eat in the main square but find a bar in the back streets, as they are much cheaper and nicer. There is a museum that has a working pub, that was full of locals when we went.

If you want a good camp site, we can recommend the municipal site at Ghent. It is in a huge park on the outskirts of Ghent, with loads of things to do and even it's own bar and restaurant. Can't remember the exact spelling, but something like Camping Blarmeesen.
