Does anyone have an old aluminium Robert Mandry 'miniscamp' badge that I could borrow please? I'd like to scan the badge so we can reproduce it for use on Scampers cars.

Please PM me if you have one available. Very Happy

Aluminium? Mine was plastic! After it warped, I had it printed onto ali, which looked quite good at first but it faded. Since then I've been wondering about stainless... Anyone know an engraver with a 1:1 pantograph? silent

For an example of the one I'm talking about, go to Chris's page www.scampownersclub.co.uk, click on Previous Events | Stanford Hall | photo of pink Mk.1.

I don't know of a suitable engraver that could tackle the job, Bob.

It would no doubt be a CAD job and look very nice when finished.

On a budget though, a scanned graphic will do me nicely thanks. Very Happy

Hi,

If you need any CAD stuff doing, give me a shout, i spend all day designing & modelling.

2D Autocad, 3d Solidedge, Solidworks, Inventor & ProEngineer, i've got them all !!

I design very complicated machines for the plastic moulding machine industries. Did my apprenticeship at a machine tool company, designing machines engine parts for Rover, Landrover, Ford etc..

So if you've got any questions, let me know & i'll see what i can do.

Cheers,

Neil

Hi Neil,

Thanks for the offer but i was just going to get me signwriting mate to scan the badge, tart it up & print me a batch.

After all it's only a Scamp.

It sounds like your the kind of guy that is worth knowing anyway. Laughing

Thanks

James

I saw that badge on there the other night and as I know full well that a Mini Scamp badge like that was never available from the factory decided to do a bit of digging. It is actually a Plymouth Scamp badge all the way from the good ol' U S of A

But it wouldn't look out of place on a Scamp

No Dave, It's the one often seen on the bonnet of MK1s. i think it might be a sticker and not metal but i'm sure someone has one i can borrow.
