Detling Kit Car Show 2014

Hi Scampers,

Mainly for those "down saaf" it looks like the Detling Kit Car show for 2014 has been brought forward, provisional dates are 29th & 30th March 2014; prices appear to be the same as last year!

Much too early to know about camping details of if there will be an inside "pitch for the Scamps".
Prehaps "wezgit" can confirm near the time! Happy Scamping!!!

Once again,it's reasonably local to us so it's one I have been to for a few years now,numbers seem to alter depending on weather,so if it's sunny and warm it's normally well attended,if it's fowl the it's prety dire. Last year we shared the showground with the "quilting show",you know,sewing machines,bedspreads and the like,well, on the Saturday when the weather was rubbish they had a better turn out than the kit car show.
One thing we must stipulate next year though.......we want a bar and some entertainment on the Saturday night,if we can be bothered to come then they should do a bit more for us!

Last year I led a posse of NG's there meeting at the Crown Point Inn early Sunday Morning. Might be an idea for those who live near-by and only want to visit for the day; however I realise that the SOC and NGOC are different in their approach to events.

I do agree with Chris about better overnight entertainment (Saturday) and the need for the organisers to put themselves out more for those staying over!

Detling is and I think always will be very weather dependant, it is ALWAYS going to be windy on the Showground!

I will be going but it might be only for one day if the facilities have not been put in place by the organisers!! Regards NG Guy.
