It all started last Sat morning (late due to Fri rain) when i A-framed my Scamp over to Tywyn for the Scamp hols Busy 8 days 216989 .
After a few days out and going Busy 8 days 887336 (close)on t' steam train oup t' top of hill and down again, visiting the Ice cream shop several times, buying the really vital stuff off the market that i didnt realise i needed, down to the beach a couple of times inc being brave enough to try out james plastic canoe/boat thing and of course the BBQ in the dunes.

Overall the weather wasn't to bad with only a bit of Welsh "Missell".

On Wed evening i went back to Wolves to prepare for the 2nd part of the week.

Thurs evening i drove down (in the Nissan) to Oxon to collect an Ozzie mate of mine, before going down friday to Kent and Southern Mini days. This show i had not been to for about 4 years and it was at a different venue. I persuaded the Wesgit and Frostie H to travel north (5-10 miles) and join us for the weekend, again the weather was kind to us and the evenings were even more socially kinder Busy 8 days 221997 Busy 8 days 169120 Busy 8 days 280256
Mini spare over here are about half the price of that in Oz and so my friend bought up half the show to export back to Oz.

Back to Oxon Sun pm and then onto Wolves in the evening.
So after 8 days and about 800 miles, i am just going off to work for a well earned rest Busy 8 days Icon_twisted

I will see y'all at the picnic at the end of the month.

Tech bits.......oil cooler and rad fan fitted. 1275 engine (ex SPI) obtained ready for winter project.

While we were down sarf at the show we also saw the Mk2 with the cream based camo job and a refurbed Mk1, orig from Portsmouth. This was the one that was won by a club member and never collected.

The new owner got the Mk1 (no engine) for £100, fitted a £50 998 and after a quick MOT he was off an running. He did have a reg problem with DVLA but when he went to his local office they said no probs and correctly reg'd it as it was before.

Maybe thats one for the future, dont talk to Swansea...........go to your local office.
