Before Ebay
Before I put my Scamp mk3 s.w.b on ebay .
I wanted to give the members of the club first notice of sale.
it will have 6 months tax on from 30th June 2009
and the M.O.T is due on 24th July 2009
I acquired the Scamp on 24/03/2009
since that date I have changed the colour from red to nato green( looks good from a distance or on photos)
I spent £445.05p including V.A.T on the engine I have the invoice
I also changed the mirrors to a chrome set.I still have the old BIG mirrors
Andrew Maclean stated when I bought this Scamp
"HI DID YOU KNOW THAT YOUR SCAMP IS A MK3 S.W.B G.T. I (HE) ONLY MADE ABOUT 20 OF THESE WITH THE HIGH SIDE AND SHORT WHEELBASE LESS THAN HALF OF THESE WERE FITTED WITH THE OPTIONAL LIFT OFF ROOF AND DOORS,SO A VERY RARE BEAST INDEED MOST OF THE GTS WERE GALVANISED .Andrew Maclean.
reason for sale I started my kitcar interest with a Scamp in 1981 and wanted to do the full circle and end my kitcar ownership with a Scamp. if your interested please email me at m3prq@yahoo.co.uk

not at all
muttley wrote: Golly Ian......Did we make that bad an impression on you at Newark ?
Hi Muttley, not at all,a lot of the members went out of their way to make me feel welcome.
I have been in many differant kitcar clubs over the years,as Nettie knows I have always
changed my cars like some change socks.
during the Newark show it was nice to meet up with a few old friends from other clubs
as I went around the club stands.its just a pity the kitcar scene is not the same as it was
in the 1980s 1990s ,that can be also said about a lot of hobby's
and I guess the fact that I am 60yrs old does not help.Ian

Re: Before Ebay
Sorry to hear that you're leaving us so soon.
As for your Scamp I think a full MOT (or even the list of failure points) will help you to sell it quicker, simply because folks know exactly what they're getting for their money.
And while we're on the money side of it, you haven't listed a price. I think that sometimes puts some folks off as well....
All the best,
Elaine.

TRR Motorsport Today at 12:38 pm
You were up late Ian.
Hello James 2am is not unusual for me.
but in this case it was a very long day.I had to change the OS on my computer
it took 4 tries of factory restall and in the end I had to clean the hard drive
totally.and go from windows xp pro edition 2002-03 to windows xp pro media centre edition 2005
the change OS and other items was a pain because the computer
kept trying to go back to the old values.Ian

Re: Before Ebay
Hi Ian, have you got any pictures - Nettie said she saw it on the trailer at Newark but she cannot remember what it looks like typical. I know I have two Scamps - my Mk4GT4x4 needs a new clutch release bearing and Netties Florence is just a frame.

Re: Before Ebay
Well....despite my best intentions...and through absolutely no fault of my own I appear to have acquired another Scamp... foolishly I asked Ian for some pictures yesterday..and by some accident I typed in an offer in return... I mean that's not my fault is it?...is it? I'm sure Jo will be really, really understanding..again...don't you?

You just couldn't be Scampless could you? Will you be needing an engine hoist with that? Or maybe a cone remover?
