Not sure if I like the front on that or not. Price seems a bit rich too for a non-runner.

Dear clarkiegixer4,
Hi
Is this registered on the V5 as a Scamp, because i'm finding it hard to see which bit looks like a Scamp.
Can we have more photo's please.
Regards Rob
[color:8990=#000]Dear rpkuk,
Hi, Ive had to relist this item as ebay wouldnt let me upload pics on the existing listing!! The V5 reads 4x4 utility vehicle - not scamp....All MOT's read Scamp. Regards Matt

Re: Orange Scamp with Moke style front on the bay
I wondered if it was actually a Scamp when I saw the first ad but thought the sides looked right and it had a remodelled front, but having seen the new photo's I'm not so sure. I've asked if it has a chassis number welded on it at all.

Re: Orange Scamp with Moke style front on the bay
It is a MK1 with a re-modelled front. Interesting that the details say it's registered as an Austin.
£1900 and it's not even correctly registered. Someones having a laugh!!!

Re: Orange Scamp with Moke style front on the bay
No reason it shouldn't be registered as an Austin - mine is. Presumably the identity was inherited, along with the 'A' suffix registration, from the donor Mini.
Not so sure about the "four wheel drive" bit though.

Re: Orange Scamp with Moke style front on the bay
Cyclops was registered as a Scamp with the body type 'Light Utility 4x4' and I think Mr Bridger had one that said 'Landrover' as the body type. It's all a bit grey.

There used to be a modified MK1 virtually identical to that kicking around Lincoln a few years ago. Some might even remember seeing it at Newark show
Re: Orange Scamp with Moke style front on the bay
Had a reply from the seller:
hi charlie, im really not 100% sure if it is
a scamp! It was sold 2 me as 1 and all the old mots says its 1. I was
lead
2 believe that it was a scamp with a moke copy front end! There is a
plate
under the bonnet which reads VIN00470 but i havnt got any knowledge as 2
when it was built. Im not an enthusiast i just bought it because it
looked
fun....i am open 2 sensible offers. Regards matt
Any one recognise the VIN?

Re: Orange Scamp with Moke style front on the bay
Not sure how many Mk1's were sold but mine, bought in March 1973, has the chassis number 00238 so 00470 seems quite plausible for a late one.
