International Mini Meet 2009
As you probably know, the Mini celebrates it 50th year this year, so the International Mini meet comes home to Longbridge,Birmingham, August the 7th to the 10th. I am trying to raise as many members as possible from the club so that we can book a club stand. The big crunch though, it is expensive at £55.00 per adult and £25.00 for children 6-12,the price however does include a meal on Saturday Night,Sunday morning breakfast,a teeshirt and goody bag,and all of your camping fees. Non Mini derivitives that belong to Clubs will be aloud to camp with the rest of their club members (if we havn't got a stand then they will be directed to a non Mini campsite). It also includes entry into the Mini 50 exhibition. So,those interested contact me either via the forum or via my email address,I will then work out costs and numbers, book it and come for your money. If I make the deadline the end of February for entrys it then leaves enough time to book.If you want more information then go to their website which is imm2009.co.uk (or .com).

Re: International Mini Meet 2009
Hi Chris
You'll have to count me out as i am comitted to my Mini club. The Funkey Monkey Mini Club are running the Glow Show. We have been sorting our application since last Aug!!
To all, there is an admin fee for each application. So if you go (quickly) with Chris's club application you all will pay 1 admin fee, if you are slow in making up your mind then you will pay your own fee.
The IMM web site says the closing date for apps is June. Forget that, there are more than 3000 cars coming from the Netherlands alone. When they have got their max number that will be it. Feb is a good estimate for last apps!
I hope this sways you to think seriously about commiting yourself early for what is going to be a great event.
Regards Rob

There is only one administration fee of £3.00 for the whole club stand, to book as an individual you pay £3.00 per car.

IMM camping/caravans
I have just spotted this on the IMM website as we were discussing it last night.
So bottom line is you can only park your caravan in the tent camping area if you tow it in with a mini/scamp.
Weather that means the last 200 yards !!!!!!!!!! is another thing.

Re: International Mini Meet 2009
Walle should be available for most of the weekend, Saturday night onwards definitely, saturday daytime may depend on if my daughter wants to go.
Looks like Walle may make it to this one despite the long & hazardous drive to get there, i live 6 miles away !
If we need high security my mate (dodgy disco driver at Stourport) might even bring his dog, he lives about 1 mile away.

Re: International Mini Meet 2009
Well, I have now paid for the stand at the IMM, anyone else wishing to come along will now have to pay separately and pay the additional £3.00 booking fee. We have 4 Mk.1's, 2 Mk.2's and 3 Mk3's, should be a gooden!

We're all booked and ready to go with our club, Clubman Estate Register. We're also doing a big event at the same time called Clubman 40 (as it's the 40th anniversary of the slab faced beasties this year too)!!
