Hi,
I stumbled across this Forum earlier this evening and couldn't resist asking if my first car a mk1 reg 984 SPB is still around.

I purchased the kit from Robert Mandry (£160 from memory) and used the engine and running gear from a 64 saloon.
Used it everyday for a number of years and then passed it onto my brother (his first car) who also used it everyday. My dad made a woodern hardtop for it and it got nicknamed the Coffin on Wheels.
I think my brother eventually sold it about 10 years ago.

One of my current cars is a 1970 Citroen Mehari which sort of continues in the Scamp vein.

Hello, and welcome.

984 SPB comes up as being registered to a Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupe on the DVLA's ASKMID......... Maybe your Scamp still lives, but under another reg nowadays?

Elaine. Very Happy
