This is nothing new. I contacted my insurance when I had my 205 GTi wrapped in RealTree camo 10 years ago. They said there would be no extra charges, because it was a total wrap, but it did need to be declared as a mod.
IF I'd stuck individual stickers on the car they would also have to be declared. And decals DO have to be paid for, so my insurance would have gone up.

I suppose they'd argue that bumper stickers increase the risk because they induce the chap* behind to drive too close Rolling Eyes

* "Chap" isn't being sexist - I am courteously implying that lady drivers have more sense.
