new mk2 time for winter mods and overhaul
hi all, i recently purchased a mk2 the week before standard hall mini show, it had been dry stored for 14 years. i rebuilt the brakes, clutch master cylinder, rebuild carb and through some fresh fuel in. The day before Stanford hall it was mot and taxed, ready to go
Joseph and i made it to the show without any problems, and proudly had it sat on the club stand
we had a great day, since then ive clocked over 400 mile in the last month pottering around in the old girl, using it for work (leaving for work at 4:30 in the morning, alittle fresh) or just about anything really just to give me a reason to drive it
but now i think is the time to take back of the road and do winter makeover work- rebuild front subframe, strengthen chassis, make it alittle more off road friendly, fit new seats ( thankyou mr worth) and of course bigger engine, bye bye 998
also need to come up with a name for her
seats are out
well shes now sorn'ed, ready to be taken apart
spent last night moving everything and getting her into the garage
now the mission is to get her stripped and measured up for steel required to strengthen her
