Hi there all,
Having been a very proud owner of a mkII, I'm trying to find her again.
I sadly had to sell her a few years ago and have always regreted getting rid of my wedding car. YES we did have a bright yellow scamp as a wedding car!!!
Since then I have moved south to Poole but would love to find her.
If you live near northampton and know where KAJ is PLEEAAASSSEEE let me know.
Cheers
Pete

Would that be KAJ 212E? It appeared (green, not yellow) on e-Bay in July 2007, the buyer added a dog cage and a VERY interesting red & blue paint job but then had to sell it on. Last heard of on e-Bay in March 2010.

Many thanks for the info. Yes it was KAJ212E. Found the chassis in a scrap yard years ago and rebuilt it.
Got to the stage where I'd like it back.
Any news would be great.

I did a search on ASKMID, but it came back as NOT Insured... So it's not currently on the road by the sounds of it. Neutral

DVLA should be able to tell you the name and address of the current registered keeper, provided you can demonstrate 'reasonable cause'. Probably be worth calling them to see if wanting to reacquire your Scamp counts - I'd have thought it would. There's more details here: https://www.dvla.gov.uk/dvla/data/relinfo/howtorequest.aspx

We tried that, we wanted to buy an old car back (should the current owner ever want to sell). They sent our money back, with a letter saying it's not a good enough reason for them to disclose the information. Crying or Very sad

Many thanks for all the help. Just looked at the DVLA site and it would seem its not been taxed for 3 years so am gonna try and get owners details or get mine sent to them.
Thanks once again

That's what we requested, for our details to be passed onto the current owner... Fingers crossed, that you have better luck than we did.

Incidentally, we did manage to find the car's owner through the Rallye owners club... and he'd literally just sold the car on banghead ... to his cousin, who doesn't want to sell at the mo, but they've not long had a baby, so we still live in hope. Smile

Rooting around looking for something else I came across this thread on Retro Rides which suggests that DVLA will pass a letter on to the current owner of a vehicle. Gotta be worth a shot???

That's exactly what we did, Charlie. They sent our letter and the £5 back... banghead Somehow, I don't think the censored DVLA workers are car enthusiasts. Sad

Think you must have got a particularly rubbish clerk Elaine Sad. I've seen it mentioned on two different car forums and both times the DVLA have suggest to the person enquiring about the car to do this. One case they got no reply but in the other the new owner got in contact with them.
