Hello all, new to the site and so far finding it very helpful. Recently purchased at '67 Austin Scamp, believe Mark I..?.. It's my daily driver/project and so far in love with the misery it has provided me so far. Can see it here:
http: https://2img.net/h/i886.photobucket.com/albums/ac62/dukeofmetal05/329022_10151190306294467_1555568883_o.jpg

Just remove the two spaces before the back slash before pressing enter...

I am kind of curious as to what the capabilities are of the Scamp as mine is currently unable to perform in any extracurricular activities. Any info provided would be much appreciated.

Thank you for accepting me and hope to be of assistance in the future!

Very Respectively,

Dustin

Hi Dustin

The extremesof its performance are only in your mind Very Happy

Go to the "Past Events" and "Scamp picnic" and "Easter 2012" to see some of the off roading things we do.

Hi Dustin,

welcome to the mad house of Scamp ownership.

Scamps can be as reliable/unreliable as you make them (or the previous dozen owners made them and you've inherited an oil burner with a rats nest of a wiring loom with one earth wire for the entire car). No matter how good or bad they are you just can't help loving them. It's what fun motoring is all about. The journey, not just getting from A to B.

As for their capabilities. well that's only limited by the owner's imagination. we've had off-roading Scamps, racing Scamps, family Scamps, camper Scamps and 4x4 Scamps. There are hundreds of pictures of Scamps on the Scamp Owners Club website to wet your appetite. then it's up to you.

Hopefully we'll see you and the Scamp at an event soon Very Happy

Thanks for the warm welcome and thank you for the pics. Nice to see how she looked prior. The rats nest of wiring is quite a understatement as me and my handy dandy multimeter have been going through them for the past 48 hours and only just started. Thankfully only in design/learn mode, waiting till I get back stateside to move her into my shop.
