Nice to see yours on it's wheels and out in the sun. I like the look of the windscreen frame on it. It's a lot more heavy duty looking than the one on mine.
What plans have you got for fitting the panels ?

I wish I could get on with mine but it's still stuck under a plastic sheet at the moment !

Yeah that's at home had to move it from its shed to the barn as the shed is filling up with lambs.

will not be this years IMM......lol month and quarter is not enough time to get it done really.

Green MK2 is going to Lithuania and then that configuration is going to be retired next year.....needs something different in the engine department.

Panels wise they will be the last thing to be fitted but in a break from convention I was thinking of using plastic rivets such as the ones we use at work for holding trim etc on the landrovers....will experiment later on.

Nerxt thing for this will be brake lines, column, pedal box and fuel tank arrangement I think.

And if you think the view is good from the yard.....this photo was a few years ago when I first got scamp mk2 on the road..... up the fell on our land.

Looks a great place to be if the sun is out, possibly not so nice in the middle of winter though.

I like the idea of plastic rivets. I have looked at this website for other things but they list some rivets.

I found this company based in Norfolk who do the BMW head conversions, they have an interesting direct injection system now as well.

Specialist components will be where I get most of my parts for the conversion with some bits from force racing.

As for the rivets I like to keep it simple so ill just use AFU1075'S which are the wheel arch rivets from all defenders regardless of age so very easy to get and I can order them by the hundred.

Looking good, but not entirely convinced that there is any benefit in using plastic rivets? Question

no updates I'm afraid time and money are in short supply as I'm getting the green mk2 ready for IMM.
Snuggled under a sheet waiting though.
