hi all,
just to remind everyone that this years saturday night is supose to be the sixtys theme fancy dress.
we have ours all sorted. It would be real good night if eveyone could make an effort.
see u all there hopefully in fancy dress.

I shouldn't do it, butting in on Rosie's post. But just wanting to know how many people are coming in fancy dress?
Just leave your name so we can ALL get the idea how many are going, as you won't feel stupid thinking you are the only one turn up in fancy dress.....

I was hoping that it would be all weekend, but feel free to dress up in your civies during the day if you feel more comfortable.

i think there was a mistake as far as we are aware were going to wear fancy dress all weekend ! should be fun, charlie

Just to confuse matters we have actually got two "stands".

When we told the event organisers that it was the 40th birthday of the Scamps they then came up with the idea of having us and other Mini based kitcars on display in one of the old halls (before you get to the autojumble).
So we have got one stand indoors with, one of, every mark of Scamp on it. We have got a 10x3ft banner with various pics and details of Scamping on it.

Then outside on our normal pitch between the new hall and the club house we will be having the remainder of the clubs Scamps.

The first Scamp was produced in 1969, so that is where the 60's theme comes from.

Er, that's not actually quite correct Rob. The organisers of the show were having a 'Classic' kit car show in one of the other halls so I rang Kevin Musson (one of the organisers) and offered him three Scamps (at the time he had received very little response from any one else!) which he duly accepted - and then added that it was our 40th birthday.

I have a MK3 and a MK2 for the 'Classic' display but at the moment I've been overwhelmed with appathy for a MK1 though!
