income, So I am afraid if when we turn up on Saturday thats the going
price then we will turn around and go home.
Ooops, should have explained myself more clearly Woody.........I'm not on
about this year. I was thinking more about next year (the farmer is
upping the price), so that we can continue this event.

Stourport Picnic
Hi Woody
The charge has always been £15 per car for the weekend (Friday to Monday this includes camping, off-roading, toilets and a barbi on sunday night) e.g. we always bring the Suzuki and the Sorento to tow the caravan so we pay £30.
This year I will be camping as Martin is in Dubai and I am not experienced at towing the caravan. If you are only visiting for the day it will be £5 for you and Rita.
The weather can affect the turn out which means we sometimes have to dip into club funds but wherever possible we try to make events self funding.
Things may have to change next year as the farmer has mentioned putting up the charge for the field because of increasing costs ??? what for I'm not sure !!!
Hope this has made things clearer,
Nettie

You dirty ole man!
We'll be arriving on Saturday (not sure what time yet), and will be bringing the Jimny as well as the Scamp again.
Is it this weekend that we settle up the Xmas dinner fees with Aunty Elaine, seeing as we won't see her again until the do?
Elaine&Reg.

Re: Stourport Bank Holiday Weekend
Big hello to everyone who i met at over the weekend after i turned up unannounced looking for some off roading.
What started out as a days casual off road turned into something else entirely for me and my pal who was riding shotgun with meeting a great group of people. I could only watch the scamps decending inclines with 6 inches of ground clearance, front wheel drive on road tyres open mouthed and didn't know whether to salute or start selling life insurance after i would only attempt in 1st gear, diff locked and low ratio.
You anyone still guessing i was the guy in the discovery (red under all the mud)that got well and truely stuck in the bomb hole right next to the camp site. Big thanks to the winched TD5 that pulled me out otherwise i'd still be there now.
Driving the disco off road is fun but the extra skill in driving the scamp over the same terrain is in a class of its own and looks twice the fun.
Looking forward to the next event and meeting everyone again.

Scamp Picnic at Stourport
Jeannette told me last night (via internet webcam) that the weekend went very well and the weather was kind, there were a few minor incidents i.e. childrens fingers and car doors don't go together ouch! and littleuns falling off the back of scamps another ouch but overall everyone had a good time and that's what scamping is all about isn't it.

Stourport Picnic
Just want to say a big Thank You to everyone for making the Picnic such a success!!!
It was just like the old times when I joined the club first with the ex which must be over 20 years and 15 for myself according to my membership number.
Thanks to Mr Bridger and Mike and Wendy, Sue and Mark and Jono for all their help with the barbi and the shopping.
Congratulations to all those who won the Scamp Oscars.
Hope to see you at the Scamp stand with Debby and Colin and Maisy and Charley.

SO, the big question is............. has it inspired you to build/buy a Scamp?
Elaine.
Re: Stourport Bank Holiday Weekend
What a superb weekend.
A big thank you to Nettie for doing such a ssterling job all weekend and Mark, Mike & Wendy for piloting the barbi.
It was well and truly a Scamp do of old and the best one I've been to in years. even 16 Scamps (double last years number) was a sure sign that we're back!

Stourport Weekend
Just to add our twopennuth - What a fantastic weekend! We now have two very dirty Scamps sitting on the drive and I swear they are both smiling! Tony was in his element!
Camaraderie was definitely the word of the weekend - just how many spare parts did we carry between us? Nothing stopped us!
Again, thanks to Nettie for the organisation, and to everyone else who did their bit - special thanks to Mike for the carb which kept us off-road!!!

Re: Stourport Bank Holiday Weekend
Hi all
Duplicating all the above comments, i had a great time going oop hill and darn dale all weekend with only a slight hic up in the form of a burst heater hose to slow he down.
Now the winge.....can members insert their photos in the "Previous Events" location as for some reason that is the only place i (anyone else?) can print them from. Printing from the forum only gets me the text with no photos, even when i select just the photos.
Can someone (Admin ed) please inset in the "Forum Info" an idiots guide on how to insert photos into the previous events
Thanks again to all who made last weekend a great one and roll on the next.............Rob

Right click on photo and "save picture as" to a file, then when you have all you want, print 'em from the file you saved 'em in...
