Re: Scamp Picnic line up on Sunday
One or two Scamps new to the database there, and some I only know of through website pics. I'd be obliged if the owners of BLJ 708A (I think), GRF711B, LKX 571V, 707 YUK, and Q126 GDB would care to let me know who they are, and give me any details (e.g. history) they can.
Nice, too, to see John Copple's 6-wheeler back in its entire state.

Thanks, Rob. The database has now nearly 400 entries, although this includes one known write-off, a few re-registrations, and several that haven't been seen this century.

Scamp registrations
Hi Bob
hope you are well and life is treating you kindly.
The Scamps do indeed belong to some of our members here up north.
BLJ 708A belongs to Ian Yates
GRF 711B belongs to Mark Rawstron and LKX 571V to his brother Mike Rawstron.
They are all friends of the Copple clan.

Re: Scamp Picnic line up on Sunday
HI Bob Can you Help ??? From Dave Lovell.
My technophobe mate has just bought his first scamp , to accompany his small fleet of 60's Minis , and he's asked me to put out this message on his behalf .
His scamp is very short , and at the moment consists only of a frame and a hood .
The problem is , he has no V5 or record of the Reg No .
The vehicle was built in 1990 ( according to the current Scamp Co owner )
It was a special order , supplied to a Mr Miles Hart in 1990 .
The Chassis no is AM3058790
We're hoping for any pictures or contacts so we can get the reg no. and start the V5 application process...which can be a nightmare as I know !
So...please can anyone share any details or point me in the direction of anyone who might be able to help.........
I've tried to identify the Vehicle I mentioned earlier with no success so far .
Can anyone with a Mk3 tell me the exact format for a Chassis No.
I've been searching for AM3058790 in that exact form but my contact cannot find any record of that on the DVLA Database . Is that how it should be presented or am I missing a dot or slash or hyphen...if anyone has a similar vehicle I'd appreciate a pointer in the right direction .
Also...does anyone recognize the original owner....a MR Miles Hart , who went to the trouble of ordering a special one off vehicle in 1990 ...any info would be gratefully received .
I've tried to put a couple of photos up but my Photobucket account is proving obstructive...
Thanks....Dave.....(07759442706 )

Re: Scamp Picnic line up on Sunday
AM3058790 should translate thus:
AM3 ....... Andrew Mclean Mk3
058 ........58th Mk3 kit
790 ........ manufactured / sold in July 1990
