The original garage, or at least the one where I first saw a Scamp is now long since gone. There is still a filling station on the site so at least it isn't a collection of flats !

This is the site today. Just to the left of the garage is the Basingstoke Canal.

Back up the road to the crossroads now looks like this.

The only photo I have found with what looks like the old garage is this taken in 1965 and I don't now if it is owned by Robert Mandry then. I can't read the sign, it could be Connaught, Brookwood, not sure.

I can't remember too much about the garage now. At the time in the showroom there was a brand new white Mk2 with a tan Canvas top and what I think might have been a green Mk2 with gullwing doors. They might have been the pair in the brochure. Outside the the building I remember seeing the brand new pick up shell that had been used as the base for the white Mk2.

Does anyone have any more pictures ?

Pictures might be asking a bit much to ask but it would be interesting to know a bit more about the place. I have been told the garage/showroom was run by a guy by the name of Niel Morgan at some time but I don't know any more than that.
