Hi Red leader,
Thanks for reply I went to the Woodman in March I didn't stay for lunch but I did meet a few people in the car park and it persuaded me to get a Scamp.I would like to go to West Sussex in September if my scamp is roadworthy. I need a few parts to get MOT.Rear subframe has a lot of rust.

Hi Gerry, welcome to the nuthouse that is the SOC forum.

So that would be the Scamp with the very smart (and very expensive-looking) chequer plate body panels and the Mk1 Mini grille? It was at the Brighton run in 2009 - see pic on website under "old previous events" - and was sold on e-Bay a year ago. Don't know anything more about it though.

Will the grille fit the other way up? It'd look so much more cheerful! Smile

Welcome Gerry,

I think we spoke at the Woodman Event (which I organized), very pleased that you now have a Scamp!

I have now moved to East Sussex and would love to have chat over a pint sometime.

I hope to be at the South Downs Escargots Hat Camp for some of the weekend; family commitments keep changing on an almost daily bases, so will only know which day or days about a week before!
Maybe organise an SOC Pub do Daan Saaf in October or November this Year - might have some ideas ready for the Hat Camp!
All the Best NG Guy.

Thanks for all your replies.Rum Tum Tugger I agree the front makes her look sad but i intend to change it in the near future. At the moment I am looking for a new rear subframe as I have been told mine is past its sell by date (RUST).
