Re: Front Subframe.
There's a bit of fabrication work but it's not difficult.
Martin did it some years back on Cyclops so maybe he can fill on the blanks for you

Re: Front Subframe.
As you can see, it has been done - sorry, can't remember who owns this Scamp. I'd guess you'll have to make up a new set of solid spacers, and enlarge the centre hole. The bracing, or some bracing at least, is a recommended mod on Mk2s. The plastic tube attached to the bolt is, I believe, an experimental lubrication system that supplies WD40 under pressure to keep the bolt from seizing (IYBTYBA).

Re: Front Subframe.
That photo looks Like Martin's Cyclops (upturned manifold with Chaz's revised steel inlet manifold extensions that tilt the carb at the correct angle.
Was it repainted Lilac by someone?

Spot on James. I can also see the heat proof sleeving that I found to stop the throttle cable getting fried by the exhaust.

Sub Frame
When I fitted a rubber mount subframe I cut about 8 inches off the back of a solid mount subfame. Then overlapped the 2 and bolted each each side together with 4 bolts (8 total) then could bolt the extensions to the standard Scamp frame holes.
