TURKEY RUN 29th December 2013...
Hello Scampers, The Turkey Run this year is on the Sunday the 29th of December.
For those who are new, on this forum. Its greening in Nottinghamshire, Its gentle on your Scamp, Jeep or whatever you have, Mud and snow tyre are a must.....I don't recommend a normal day to day car..
We start 9am from Mac Donalds, Newark, Nottinghamshire. NG24 2DB... Junction A1/A46..
For those who want to meet at my house are more than welcome, please phone me 07714075459 for further information...
Take care Rick..

Not everyone is on Facebook. Shouldn't the replies be on here where everyone may be encouraged to support the club. Hope it doesn't snow as its very difficult keeping a scamp on the road in such conditions........

Here, Here GT3Rob.
I find I am spending too much time between the main forums of my five or six car clubs as it is. No chance of using Facebook as well!

Five or Six Cars Not
Hi GT3Rob,
Afraid not, only two at present. The NG TA as you might expect from my user name and a Triumph based JC Midge which is currently up for sale on the MOBC website.
Other car interests (other than Scamps of course) include the Reliant Based Liege and Mk1 or Mk2 Dellows. I have been trying to get into Classic Reliability Trials for awhile now but need a suitable car; Dellows are a bit long in the tooth now, mainly Ford Pop 50's tech so dodgy brakes and steering, like the look however.
The Liege is something I hope to pursue when funds permit.
I would like a Scamp as a stop-gap and as a more usable everyday car than either the TA or Midge.
Regards RG.

Oh the liege id love one they are using suzuki sj engines now. Gimmie gimmie. Have you considered dutton melos as a cheaper option. Marlins are there but rising in price. A mate uses a skoda estelle and it goes very well considering.

Hi there MK3 Rob and others. Road tyres are fine on the 2CV are they 26x1.25 or are they 26x1.3/8 ? They sell them in the local push bike shop....ha...ha..
Don't worry about getting stuck, we always help out happy people....You will be alright on that front?....
It will be good fun what ever the weather will be...

The Turkey Run 2014.
What a great time had by those that attended.
Some of the lanes were fairly easy and others were really tricky, all in all a great day out.
Pity Glen broke a CV or we would have gone even further. We had about an hour of day light left.
Rick has suggested that there are enough lanes in the area to make a weekend of it.
Any takers.
There were 4 cars that turned up, 2 Free Landers, 1 Suzuki and a Scamp, all on road tyres, guess which vehicle got stuck first ?
Nathan had not been out for a while and he was very impressed with the Scamp.
Thanks to Rick and Rosie for a great time.
