The aluminium Roswell at the top of the Hall of Fame looks fab, kind of a mini Airstream Bambi.

Anybody want the CD i've got. You can get them off E-bay (funny old thing)

Shows all the Yank versions and modern plans. Just need a double garage and a big compass to make the curves.

I had started to make one these this year, but with my knackered back it was just one project to far Sad

6 sheets of ply (8x4) going to a good home , any offers ??

The Roswell design is pure 50s-futuristic, pity the artist apparently didn't have a clue about practical matters like weight distribution. I suppose though you could always hang a fifth-wheel coupling on the back of the Scamp and build the Roswell as a semi-trailer.

However, semi-trailer or not, better check with VOSA first as (if I've uderstood it right) IVA may now be needed for trailers.

Rob, and anyone else needing to draw long sweeping curves, a curve whose centre is outside the playing area can be drawn with two straight bits of wood and a couple of nails using the inscribed angle methodTear Drop Caravan Designs Teacher, theory here.

Yes IVA is required for all new build or modified existing trailers. If it's just repairs to an existing trailer you're ok as long as you fit type approved components which is what you should be fitting any way. If you are suffering from insomnia then chapter and verse is here http://www.dft.gov.uk/vca/vehicletype/trailers.asp

Unfortunately - no Embarassed

But I suppose if I were hassled about it by VOSA then it would have to fall into the same category as Triggers Broom Twisted Evil

If it was made last year then you're fine, the testing requirement only came in this October. Of course you need to prove you made it before October....

Is anybody really going to ask.

How many homemade trailors are in this country, it would be a nightmare to check out them all.

Just need to go for the distressed look Very Happy
