Re: Scamp Picnic
It was £20.00 per head last year,I presume it will be the same this year. That was to cover the hire of the fantastic site, loo hire and nosh on the Saturday evening,I don't know if Rick has any ideas on members/non members charges as there is the annual prize giving at the end, best Mk1,Mk2,Mk3,4x4,most shows attended, best green laner etc. It's a good event and normally well attended,we will probably be sharing it with a few narrow boats with all the rain they have had up there, but it's on a hill so there is normally plenty of camping space.

Thank you Mr Get, may I enquire which route you'll be taking as meeting up with some fellow southern scampers along the way would be nice

Re: Scamp Picnic
I have been informed, that the cost of Stourpirt will be £25 per person this year due to the increase of hiring the site as well as an increase of toilet hire ( 3 this year I am told).........
Now back to the garage and get on with the Tomcat..............

Re: Scamp Picnic
Indeed, there was a little mud, but it did dry up pretty well by Sunday 4.30 - when I needed a man or two to bypass a switch on Taz that decided it was not going to let me leave the showground - Thanks Chris and Mark.
I did go up with the local off-roaders - along with Colin, Charlie and Maisie. Once we were off the field, the 'off-road' area was pretty good really. Much more fun than the dry conditions of last August.
On that subject, the driver , having been told about the Scamps, told us, that in the snowy weather, he was with his club mates up the local lanes when they had to wait for - firstly some chavs in Shogun, then a Moke to exit the lane. Guess what... The 'Chavs' in the Shogun were Nic, Chris and Dawn and the 'Moke' was Taz!!!

Re: Scamp Picnic
It's always better when it's extra muddy, so I'm sure you'll all have lots of fun.
We won't be joining you this year, because it's Reg's sister's (English) wedding reception*. And I think the farm wants me to work Beacon Hill Wood Fair on the Sun & Mon.
Fingers crossed, it doesn't all dry up before your playtime.
Elaine & Rich.
