Does anyone fancy a Scamping holiday at Le Brevedant in France? I can't do the last May bank Holiday or probably the week after.I will probably spread it over a weekend (maybe a few days before and a few days after the weekend).Sailing Portsmouth - Caen. It's a campsite we have been to in the past and it is truly magical.Let us know your thoughts and if you are interested I'll see if I can get it off the ground. If there is enough interested, for those with children, can you let me know when the shcool holidays are and we'll try and arrange it around those dates. If there is enough interest I will get some prices,it will obviously be subject to the dates as to the prices.

Oooh, now there's a tempting offer. Harriet has been desparate to go to Normandy (and we'd love to go back as it's always a superb holiday). It would have to be school holidays for us though as Harriet is already using up her 'get out of jail free' cards with her modelling asignments and we're lucky to have a very understanding school in that respect.

I'll have a would with Leanne to PM you the scholl term dates. Very Happy

Just thought I would enquire the cost of the Portsmouth-Caen crossing, latter June just for the Scamp and driver.............................£238.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just tried the LD lines - Newhaven Dieppe £100.00 and with the little Eriba Caravan.................................. £222.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why? the whole outfit is not much longer than a Volvo estate car!!!!
Bizarre, obviously friends with Jeremy Clarkson and the ban the caravan brigade.
Incidentally the distance from Dieppe port is 89 miles, from Calais it's 187 miles(obviously Caen is even closer)

IIRC we took advantage of a P & O special offer, outward on Thursday and home the following Tuesday. However they no longer operate this route.

Prices seem to vary according to the date & day of the week. For Portsmouth - Le Havre, 2 adults + one car, going & returning on successive Tuesdays in July, the damage is £167.50.
