Its all go in the great rush to fix the scamp before the greatest event in the scamping callender.
As per usual things are not as they should be and all is not too well.
Last minute jitters and things not going to plan are afoot!

Ive bought Brians GT3, and it came with a bloody awfull quick shift gear changer, the problem is the knogins that hold the gear lever in have been removed.
So ive changed the remote linkage.

The alloy housing that the lever goes into has a plate at the bottom i take it that goes with the small bar fixed to it on the right?

The fixing the gear lever drops into should bo low to this plate, which ive tried and i only get 1,2, no 3rd gear but 4th and i do get reverse??

Ive tried the with the fixing high and only seem to get 3rd 4th and no other gears.

The roll pins sit in gearbox side is quarter to 3 and the rod side 6 oclock.
I put it into reverse to get the roll pins out but while the linkage is off the gearbox shaft goes in and out but stays at quarter to 3?? AAAAARGH HELP NEEDED PLEASE!

Thank you.

The projection on the bottom cover plate is (IIRC) what keeps you from trying to engage the non-existant gear opposite reverse. The bolt holts are symmetrical so it's possible to fit it either way round - it sounds like you've done my trick of fitting it back part in front.
