Hi All,

don't forget that the Scamp Holiday in Wales is only a week and a bit away.

It's based in Tywyn again for this year

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=52.591552,-4.077129&num=1&sll=52.99465,-1.983049&sspn=0.006295,0.006295&ie=UTF8&ll=52.592412,-4.067345&spn=0.116169,0.31002&z=12

I can't promise Sun, but there is sand sea and beer. If you've never been, have a look at the photos on the Scamp Club website. Join us for a day, a few or a week and enjoy the family holiday Scamp style. Very Happy

If we're not too knackered from being at The war & Peace Show we might come for an overnight stay during the weekend.

Gonna treat ourselves to plenty of breaks now we've finished the mortgage slog,

Won't get there this year at all - I (Lin) am still at work until the 27th!!!! And that's the officially bit! I will still be in school on the Thursday and Friday too as I am moving year groups for the first time in 19 years!!!!! Surprised (Think I might need to hire a skip!)

Hope the weather is kind to you! sunny

We're absolutely loving the 'owning the bungalow outright' bit, all these years of hardwork & extra payments are finally paying off! To be honest, it hasn't quite sunk in for either of us yet...

Next goal, retire when we're 50..... although I think I'll still keep doing voluntary work.

Well done E&R

Now you have to make sure you enjoy the fruits of your labours. bounce

I'm overpaying mine (didnt start til 47 though) and its due to finish 2 months after my 60th.
I certainly dont want to be working shifts and going under trains till i'm 65.

Just need a little part time job, a reason to get out of bed in the morning Very Happy

With gas and electric on the rise, along with little things like food, petrol, diesel together with insurances up 35% I could go on, I know you have a few chickens and a few vegies but retiring at 50 is a bit ambitious don't you think, if I was you I'd put what you were paying for the mortage into a pension or solar panels or something for your old age! ooops sorry just realised this post has nothing to do with the Wales holiday.

Cheers Rob. Very Happy

Oh don't worry Martin, we'll still be saving like mad. We don't want to end up old & skint, not that you can take it with you when you go, but you know what I mean... Laughing

My Dad retired at 52, and his crappy wages had to pay for us three kids and my Mum (housewife since 1965). The day he retired I told him I'd be finishing at 50 just to beat him!! Twisted Evil

Nothing to do with the holiday? It's keeping it at the top of the page................ Every little helps!! lol!
