Well, we've gone and done it - bought another Scamp!
What's more, another one to be done up!!! Tony has clearly got far too much time on his hands - will have to make a list of jobs for him to do! Laughing
Anyway, bless him, he says I can have this one as a summer runaround - just no promises as to which summer I can have it!
Here we go again! 006

A bit of a blank canvas at the mo!

Here we go again! 004

Hmmm, a new engine and a spot of paint here and there...
Here we go again! 003
Perhaps a new canvas? and doors would be good!

No, not galv. The person that built it had used the same theory as we used on Taz - hammered finish hammerite. It all has to be stripped back to metal and then we can decide what to do with it - as I say, it's just a bare canvas at the mo - or an eyesore on our drive if you are one of our neighbours!!!!
To be fair, it is in fair condition and the interior is pretty much bare metal, so won't take too much work (Famous last words!!!!)
We do have plans but as to when...........don't go holding your breath! whistle

Well it's been good on Taz - a quick touch up when needed - no worrying about scratches etc - but the new project (must give it a name!) needs stripping cos its not been painted well and there are some patches of rust that need sorting

don't worry . . . the've allready been told its not having Daisy's garage space ... if it nicks hers in the big garage, she gets to live in the carpeted garage :-D ,,, she'd like that ... or my bedroom . . . sure I could get her through a window!

We are lucky to have the use of a friend's double garage (Where Daisy is resting) and ours - which is carpeted cos it was converted into a play room when Nic and Dawn were little. Nowadays, it has become a junk room/shed for Tony's tools! But... we are still desperately short of car space! (2x estate cars, 1X Pajero, 3x scamps!!! and 4 x trailors of varying descriptions!!!!) Worse is yet to come - as Nic has her Proton up at uni - and now Dawn is learning to drive! affraid I think we need a smaller house and a bigger drive!

I know what you mean about lack of space. We're seriously considering buying an industrial unit and an RV as any house with sufficient parking and workshop space would be way out of our price range. We need parking for eight cars, one trailer plus workshop space affraid

What you need is a redundant chapel or church: convert the vestry / gallery / organ loft into living accomodation and the rest into a garage. Here we go again! Hypocrite

Oddly enough I looked at doing exactly that about 20 years ago Bob, but funds were not forthcoming at the time Sad

I still like the idea, but it really is far too much of a bachelor pad arrangement for me these days

I'd settle for a garage!! Poor Stumpy has to squeeze on the drive now with an interloping Riley Elf (she's lovely really). Oh big respect to Tony for the Easter weekend video on Scamp Racing...certainly shut a few mouths in our local mini club about how much offroading a scamp can really do!!
