Problem with carb !!!!!!!
Has anyone else had a problem fitting a Hif 38 / 44 on a minisport manifold ? Not enough room to fit insulator block onto carb, as base of carb against bulk head. Any solutions.................Thanks
Or just leave insulator block off ? (Mark 3 Scamp)

Re: Problem with carb !!!!!!!
You should fit the insulator block if at all possible as without it the distance between the jet and the ports is reduced and mixture will be affected.
Some of Minisport's stuff is sh*t as it's from China (or some other country that copies things in inferior materials),
I had an argument with some manager at Minisport about a full radius stubstack for an HIF44 i'd bought when they'd supplied one for and HS4. Neither the fixing holes or inlet hole lined up and I sent them photos of it lined up on the carb to prove this and the bloke still told me i was liar! I never did get a refund so hence won't use them.
I use Minispares (london) or Sommerford minis for spares and M-Machine for panels. It's all about quality of service and Minisport can't get anywhere close.

problem with carb !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Checked depth of inlet manifold ( titan not minisport ) and the variation in different makes of manifold !!!!! So I have lost an inch in depth using another I found in the goodie box ...... but at least it will solve one problem. Only another ........ to go. And I bought this one just to drive !
